Team Prizes will be based on the Best 8 that move forward to the finals. If less than three non-Japanese teams proceed to the Best 8, then the results of the preceding prelim phase will be considered.

Individual Prizes for non-Japanese players will be entirely based on the prelim phase (before the Best 8 cut).

Please Note!

If a player or team is eligible for more than one of the prize buckets, the prizes do not duplicate. For example, you can’t claim 2 years of Ronron membership. However, if you were top ranked in the event and also the top ranked non-Japanese team, you would be able to claim the unique prizes of both buckets.

Please be aware that to be eligible for the non-Japanese prizes, you must have registered and paid through World Riichi and you must not be resident in Japan when you register. (If you hold a Japanese nationality but are permanently resident in another country, you are eligible for ‘non-Japanese’ prizes.)

None of the prizes are transferrable and must be claimed within 30 days of 11 November 2024. The prizes cannot be exchanged. Further, we reserve the right to change the prize list without notice.

Claiming the WRC 2025 seat will require that you agree to the terms and conditions of entry to the WRC 2025 event. You will also be responsible for travel and lodging for the entirety of the event and any costs associated with your trip and attendance to the event. The seat qualification is of no financial value and is non-transferrable. If the top-ranked non-Japanese player is unable to claim the seat qualification, it will not necessarily cascade down to the next best ranked player.

Standard shipping will be covered by WRC. However, any additional costs such as VAT or customs taxes will need to be covered by the winners. We are not responsible if the prize fails to reach due to a shipping carrier issue. Further, we will not be held liable if it is not possible to ship the prizes to the designated address due to carrier or government sanctions.
